More and more customers are skipping Google and asking AI who to hire. If your business isn't showing up in those answers, someone else's is. We test where you stand across 5 AI platforms — and show you exactly what to fix.
The Shift
For 20 years, being found online meant ranking on Google. That hasn't changed — but something new is happening on top of it that most business owners haven't noticed yet.
People are asking AI for recommendations. Not searching. Asking. "Who's the best electrician near me?" typed straight into ChatGPT. "Find me a trusted financial advisor in Reno" asked to Perplexity. And AI doesn't give them 10 links to choose from. It picks 2 or 3 businesses and recommends them by name.
Here's the problem: most businesses are invisible to these platforms. Google ranking? Fine. Reviews? Solid. But AI can't find them, can't make sense of their website, and ends up recommending a competitor with half the reputation — simply because that competitor's online presence is structured in a way AI can actually read.
We fix that.
What We Do
From diagnosing the problem to fixing it to making sure it stays fixed. Here's what that looks like.
We type the same questions your customers are typing into ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and Google AI Overview — then we see who AI recommends. 10-15 real queries, scored 0-100%, with a full competitor breakdown showing exactly who's being recommended instead of you. You'll know where you stand in 24-48 hours.
Knowing the score is step one. Fixing it is where the real work happens. Schema markup, FAQ content that matches how people actually ask AI for help, Google Business Profile optimization, review automation — the technical stuff that turns "invisible" into "recommended." Most businesses see movement within 30-60 days.
AI platforms change constantly. What works today might shift next month. We keep an eye on your visibility scores, watch what competitors are doing, and adjust as needed. And when customers do find you? Our lead capture systems — 24/7 live chat, automated booking, and smart follow-up sequences — make sure they don't slip away.
How It Works
No long onboarding. No complicated tech on your end. Here's the whole process.
Tell us your business name and URL. We run real customer queries across all 5 AI platforms and send you a detailed report. Takes us about 15 minutes. No cost.
We walk through the findings together. What's working, what's not, what your competitors are doing differently. Then we map out fixes — quick wins this week, bigger moves this month.
We handle the technical work. Schema markup, content restructuring, review automation setup, GBP optimization. You approve it, we build it. No homework for you.
AI platforms shift all the time. We track your scores monthly, keep an eye on competitors, and adjust the strategy. Meanwhile, our lead capture systems turn that new visibility into actual phone calls and bookings.
About
I'm Chris Small. I've been in marketing for over 20 years — mostly direct response, mostly helping local businesses figure out what actually gets customers through the door.
I got hooked on AI the day ChatGPT launched. Not as a gimmick — I could see immediately that this was going to reshape how people find businesses. While most marketers were debating whether AI was a fad, I was already testing it, breaking it, and figuring out how it decides who to recommend. It's something I can spend hours on every day and not get bored. That obsession became a business when I realized I could see a problem most business owners couldn't: they were invisible to the platforms their customers were starting to use.
So I built a tool that tests it. Real customer queries, across all 5 major AI platforms, with actual data instead of guesswork. Every audit I deliver gets reviewed by me personally — I read the results, I write the recommendations, and I'll tell you straight whether it's worth fixing or not.
I work with local businesses across Canada, Australia, and the US. If you're curious where you stand, the audit is free. And if the results don't surprise you, no harm done.
"The AI audit helped our marketing team find the weak spots in our website's GEO and what we needed to do to show up in future AI search results."

FAQ
We ask AI the same questions your customers are asking — things like "best plumber near me" or "who should I hire for [your service] in [your city]." We do this across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, and Google AI Overview. Then we score how often you show up (0-100%), who shows up instead, and exactly what's causing the gap.
Google shows you a page of links and lets you pick. AI picks for you — it names 2 or 3 businesses and that's it. The ranking signals are different too. We've seen businesses ranking #1 on Google with 0% visibility on ChatGPT. Completely separate game.
Trust signals — but not the ones you'd expect. AI checks whether your business info is consistent across the web, whether your site has structured data it can parse, what your reviews actually say, and whether credible sources mention you. It's less about reputation and more about readability.
Basically SEO's newer sibling. Instead of optimizing for Google's search results, you're optimizing for AI-generated answers. In practice: structured data, FAQ content written how people actually talk, reviews, directory listings, and content AI can cite. It adds a layer on top of traditional SEO.
Depends on where you're starting. Schema markup and Google Business Profile fixes can show results in a week or two. Content creation, reviews, and directory listings take 30-60 days. Smaller markets move faster. Major cities against well-established competitors — budget 60-90 days for meaningful change.
Five: ChatGPT (the big one — 200M+ users), Perplexity (growing fast), Google Gemini (tied into Google), Claude (popular for research), and Google AI Overview (the AI summaries above search results). Each pulls from different sources, so we test all five.
Any local business where customers might ask AI for a recommendation. Physio clinics, financial advisors, solar companies, cleaners, builders, trades. If people in your area would ask ChatGPT "who's the best [your service] near me" — this audit tells you whether the answer is you.
Some of it, yeah. The audit gives you a ranked fix list — claiming your GBP, adding FAQ content, asking for reviews. The technical stuff (schema, structured data, monitoring) is where most people want help. Either way, the audit is free whether you hire us or not.
Take Action
The businesses that get in front of AI now will be very hard to catch later. It's a compounding advantage:
AI recommends you
More customers find you
Better reviews come in
Each step feeds the next. More recommendations → more customers → more reviews → even more recommendations. That flywheel is already spinning for some of your competitors. Better to find out now than wonder about it six months from now.
